In Autumn 2013, Leeds Samaritans required a PR officer to begin a major volunteer recruitment campaign in order to stave off declining numbers and branch capacity.
I used a number of tactics towards this goal, including:
- Regular Press Releases sent via charity channels that succeeded in placing articles in regional press and interviews for local radio
- A city-wide outdoor advertising bus campaign that reached thousands of residents and doubled our incoming attendees at information evenings
- A city council payslip ad campaign
- Website blogs and updates
